Indianapolis, IN — [April 18, 2025] — AYS, Inc. (At Your School), Indiana’s largest and longest-operating provider of school-based out-of-school time programs, is proud to announce the appointment of Justin Armstrong as its Chief Executive Officer.
As a respected and visionary leader with more than two decades of experience across nonprofit, government, and community-based organizations, Armstrong brings a lifelong passion for education, youth empowerment, and community advancement to his new role. His career has been marked by a unique blend of strategic insight, operational excellence, and an authentic commitment to service. Most recently, Armstrong served as AYS's Chief Operating Officer, where he led the organization's strategic vision and execution, ensuring financial sustainability while aligning operations with AYS's core values.

Armstrong previously served as Executive Vice President at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, where he oversaw the redevelopment of the iconic Corteva Coliseum. His experience leading major capital projects and sophisticated fundraising efforts adds significant operational and strategic depth to his leadership at AYS. Armstrong has also served in numerous volunteer and leadership roles that reflect his deep roots in education and youth development.
He has chaired multiple local education boards and most recently served as the Board Chair for the Washington Township Foundation, where he helped drive initiatives that supported public education and student success. Armstrong also previously served as the Educator Curator of Science at The Children's Museum of Indianapolis, where he led the development of innovative educational programming that inspired hands-on learning and creativity among thousands of young visitors.
